When you think daily classic baseball gets a bit boring, spice up your sporting life with a little red English cricket. Here we’ll think about “How to play Cricket? “You’re going to need twenty-four men, a cricket field, a cricket ball, two wickets, six stumps, four bailers, and gloves. Optional: protective equipment.

Step 1

Gather 22 players and 2 umpires in the centre and split the players into two teams on a 350-foot long oval-shaped field with a 66-foot play area or pitch.

Step 2

Get the ball with the cricket, the cricket bats, the wicket stump and bails. Set the wickets to each end of the pitch. Wickets consist of three upright stumps and two horizontal bails.

Step 3

Set up play by sending the fielding team onto the field to try to catch the ball and stop scored runs. To become the bowler, choose one player from the fielding team. The bowler will take the ball and stand opposite the batter behind the wicket. Choose a wicket-keeper to squat behind the batter’s wicket. To avoid injury the bowler and wicket-keeper should wear protective gear.

Step 4

Give two batting team players, one runner and one non-striker, to bat. The bowler is running and throwing the ball towards the striker who is trying to hit the ball. The non-striker is standing behind, waiting to move. The two men (batters) run to the opposite end of the pitch, if the ball is hit.

Step 5

Know the ways of getting out. The batter is out; if a fielder catches the ball before it bounces, if the bowler hits a stump and knocks off a bail.
